What Does Penetration Grade 60/70 Mean?

The 60/70 figure refers to the Bitumen’s entry value. This value indicates how deep the standard needle comes under the specified conditions (25 ° C, 100 g load, duration of 5 seconds). For 60/70 class comes the entry between 6.0 to 7.0 mm (60-70 dmm).

The lower the number, the harder the bitumen will be.

The higher the number, the softness it will be.
