MC-800 Cutback Bitumen — Heavy-Duty Medium-Curing Grade for Base Stabilization
MC-800 is a high-viscosity, medium-curing cutback bitumen formulated for deep-penetration base course construction and heavy-duty soil stabilization where thicker binder films and extended curing times are required. Sourced and exported from Dubai, UAE, Black Rock Bitumen delivers MC-800 in bulk containers, drums, and jumbo bags to infrastructure and EPC contractors globally.
What Is Cutback MC-800 Bitumen?
Cutback MC-800 bitumen is a medium-curing binder produced by blending penetration-grade bitumen with a controlled amount of petroleum solvent. This process gives it a higher viscosity and slower evaporation rate than lighter cutback grades, allowing it to coat aggregate in a thicker film.
With a kinematic viscosity of 800–1800 mm²/s at 60°C, MC-800 sits between MC-250 and MC-3000 in the medium-curing range. Its slower curing rate is ideal for surface dressing and heavy-duty road maintenance where thicker binder films and strong aggregate bonding are required.
This grade is tested under ASTM D2170 and D402 standards, covering viscosity, distillation, and penetration of residue. It’s commonly specified for high-traffic pavements where reliable performance under stress and durable coverage are essential.

Our faqs
Frequently Asked Questions.
Our MC-800 bitumen is a high-viscosity medium-curing cutback grade engineered for durable bonding and heavy-duty road surface treatments.
Is my technology allowed on tech?
MC-800 is a medium-curing cutback bitumen with high viscosity, produced by blending penetration-grade bitumen with less volatile solvents for controlled curing.
2. Where is MC-800 commonly used?
MC-800 is commonly used in:
- Surface dressing
- Heavy-duty road maintenance
- High-traffic pavements
- Applications requiring thicker binder films
3. How is MC-800 different from MC-250?
MC-800 has higher viscosity and slower curing, providing thicker binder coating and improved durability.
4. What are the advantages of using MC-800?
- Excellent aggregate bonding
- Controlled curing with thick film formation
- Reliable performance under traffic stress
- Suitable for demanding road conditions
5. How should MC-800 be stored and handled?
MC-800 should be stored in sealed tanks or drums, kept away from heat and ignition sources, and handled with proper ventilation due to solvent content.
