Slow-curing binder for long working time

Cutback SC 30 is a slow-curing cutback bitumen: penetration-grade bitumen thinned with low-volatility oil so it can be applied without heating. The grade name gives the minimum kinematic viscosity at 60°C (30 mm²/s).

The oil used to cut the bitumen is low in volatility, so it leaves the binder very slowly. This gives long mixing and laying time and suits dust control, road-mix work and stockpiled mixes.
