Extreme hardness for extreme heat

Bitumen 150/5 is a extra-hard oxidized bitumen made by blowing air through straight-run bitumen at controlled temperature. The grade name gives the softening point (150°C) and penetration (5 dmm).

It is solid and brittle at room temperature, which gives it the best heat and flow resistance in the range. It is used where other bitumen would soften.
