It is the standard specification grade for major road construction programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Arabian Gulf, and South Asia, where ambient temperatures regularly exceed 35°C and pavement surface temperatures can reach 70°C or above.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

The minimum order quantity depends on the packaging format: Jumbo bags (1 MT each) — MOQ 20 MT; Steel drums (200 L / ~180 kg each) — MOQ 80 drums, equivalent to one 20-foot container; Bitutainers and Bitubox — MOQ one 24 MT unit per container. What is the difference between Bitumen 30/45 and Bitumen 40/60?

Bitumen 30/45 is harder and more resistant to rutting than 40/60. Its lower penetration value indicates greater stiffness at elevated temperatures — meaning better resistance to permanent deformation (rutting) under heavy vehicle loading and hot weather. Bitumen 40/60 is softer, less viscous, and is generally preferred for temperate climates or roads with moderate traffic volumes. For any project where the average maximum air temperature exceeds 30°C and traffic is heavy, 30/45 is the more appropriate choice.

Which international standards does this product conform to?

What are the storage and handling temperature requirements?

Bitumen 30/45 should be stored in heated tanks at an application temperature of 150–170°C. The maximum storage temperature is 175°C — exceeding this risks oxidative hardening, viscosity loss, and degradation of the binder's performance properties. Tanks must be sealed to prevent moisture ingress. Use insulated transfer pipework and heated pumping equipment. What payment terms are accepted?

Copies are shared digitally prior to shipment and provided in the original export documentation set.
