A balanced binder for general road work

AC-10 Bitumen is an asphalt cement graded by viscosity at 60°C under ASTM D3381. Grading by viscosity rather than penetration gives a clearer picture of how the binder behaves at paving and service temperatures. The number is the nominal viscosity in hundreds of poise at 60°C (AC-10 = about 1,000 poise).

Its mid-range viscosity balances workability during paving with resistance to rutting in service, which makes it a common choice for general pavement construction.
