What is Bitumen 105/15?
Bitumen 105/15 enters the ultra-hard segment of the oxidized bitumen range, with a softening point of 105–115°C and an ultra-low penetration of just 10–20 dmm.
At this specification level, the product transcends standard construction and roofing applications and enters the domain of specialised industrial processes, high-temperature protective coatings, electrical applications, and heavy-duty industrial maintenance.
With a softening point exceeding 105°C, Bitumen 105/15 will not deform, flow, or lose adhesion in any operational environment that oxidized bitumen is routinely specified for — including the hottest industrial process facilities, refinery structures, and desert-region infrastructure.
It is used as an insulating compound in electrical cable manufacturing, as a high-hardness impregnant for industrial boards, and as a protective coating in environments where temperatures, chemicals, or mechanical stresses would rapidly compromise softer grades.
