    What is Bitumen 90/15?

    Bitumen 90/15 is produced to a softening point specification of 90–100°C and a penetration range of 10–20 dmm, placing it in the high-hardness, high-thermal-resistance segment of the oxidized bitumen family.

    While sharing similar core properties with Bitumen 90/10, the 90/15 grade is specifically formulated and characterised for use in industrial insulation manufacturing, sound-deadening compounds, anti-vibration coatings, and specialist industrial applications where a very firm, heat-stable bitumen matrix is required. 

    Industrial insulation board manufacturers rely on Bitumen 90/15 as the impregnant and binder for mineral fibre, glass wool, and rigid foam composite boards used in high-temperature industrial environments such as refineries, petrochemical plants, and power generation facilities.
