ASTM, BIS or EN: Which One Should You Use?
The answer is usually straightforward: use the standard named by the project’s governing specification.
If the project is designed and tendered around ASTM requirements, the supplier should demonstrate ASTM conformity. If the contract requires an EN grade, the material should be documented and tested against the relevant EN requirements.
